May NewsletterWell it has been some time since our last newsletter and things have been picking up a pace in the world of Paverpol-UK. It was nice to meet some of you at Shepton Mallett a few weeks ago. It was a great show with lots of new ideas coming forth for uses of Paverpol. Do you have sons, husbands, partners, etc. who like Warhammer figures or train sets? Several ladies, seeing a landscape produced for use in a nursery school realised how Paverpol could be incorporated into making scenery. A shoe modelled from Paverpol and utilised as a decoration for a birthday cake showed others how Paverpol can be used in cake decorating, something an instructor in Norfolk has been doing for quite a while now.
We had a very enjoyable time at our residential course in Radlett back in February, lots of laughs and some extremely credible figures, some using the addition of Paverplast and Artstone, so thanks to everyone that came to that and congratulations to our nine new instructors.
With all the new instructors there are an increasing number of courses available so if any of you are still thinking of taking the plunge there is no better time. For those of you who missed out on the opportunity in February to become an instructor we are offering another opportunity in Bristol in July.
We will be up-dating our website over the coming weeks introducing new products and refreshing our range of kits. Look out for Colourboxes selections of colours for your Paverpol that can be mixed for infinite possibilities. A second, very welcome addition for Paverpollers across the world (particularly of those instructors mixing up 6 litre pots) the manufacturers have at last introduced Paverpol ready-mixed in black. This comes in the usual sizes of 500gr, 1 litre and 6 litre.
Dont forget the Gallery if you have pictures of your sculpture you would like to share with the world then send them in and we will immortalise them on the internet.
It is always good to hear from you all, we are still only a small business with a very personal touch and do recognise your names when we see them. If anyone has any thoughts on Paverpol-related stock that we could possibly carry then please share them with us and we will do our best to source a supply.
Enjoy your Paverpol!!!
Best wishes Debbie & Sue | January NewsletterA new year and a new newsletter from Paverpol-UK. If you do not wish to receive future newsletters simply reply (DO NOT 'reply all') with an unsubscribe me message and we will remove you from our mailing list.
With the festive season over and spring not yet upon us now is the perfect time to get back to all those projects you've been meaning to get round to. Why not get the Paverpol out and spend a little creative 'me' time.
Do check out the website at www.paverpol-uk.co.uk we have increased our range of kits. They are all suitable for beginners and contain most of what you need to create some of our favourite sculptures including complete instructions. Columbine and Gabrielle are particularly easy to make and kids will enjoy making our Scarecrow or Monty the Marsh Monster. (Unfortunately photography is apparently not one of my skills they look far better in real life.)
There are still a few places remaining on our Paverpol Weekend taking place just outside St Albans. From beginner to those hoping to become instructors you can pick and choose what days to attend, everyone is catered for. All instructors qualifying with us will be entitled to a 10% discount on orders over £30 as well as access to some special products and advertising of their courses on our website. Full details can be found on the 'Workshop' page of our website.
We will be back at the Stitch and Creative Crafts Show at the Bath and West Showground between the 24th and 27th April and hope to see some of you there.
We have been experiencing severe difficulties with email not getting through to the AstenBlue email account and spam attacks. We will therefore be closing this account and ask that anyone trying to contact us uses enquiries@paverpol-uk.co.uk in future.
That about wraps it us for us this time enjoy the new year and enjoy the Paverpoling.
| September NewsletterWe have been busy over the summer planning upcoming events. In particular I know a number of people were disappointed at not being able to attend workshops prior to the summer break and some new dates for beginners courses have been added on 29th September and 13th October in Bristol. There is also a new course creating a decorative, stone effect head, planed for October/November. On the subject of courses why not devote a whole weekend to your favourite hobby with like minded souls and join us for our residential workshop in February. It will be held near St Albans on 1st to 3rd February. Day One will be a beginner's course costing £45 which can be booked separately. Day Two will give you the opportunity to try Paverplast and Artstone. These new techniques will allow you to expand the creative potential of Paverpol. Day Three will be an opportunity for you to create your own sculpture with materials and experts on hand to guide you. The cost of the two days will be £95. There will also be an optional lecture for anyone wishing to become an instructor costing £20. We hope there are a few of you out there wanting to take this opportunity and remember instructors qualifying through Paverpol-UK will receive a 10% discount on all future orders and be able to advertise their courses on our website. To offer the most flexibility these prices do not include meals and accommodation but both of these will be available from the venue at a reasonable price. Bookings will open next week when details of the venue will be available and deposits can be paid on the website in the Workshop section (www.paverpol-uk.co.uk), be quick though as there are only 16 places available on each day. If you would like to come and visit us we have two shows this autumn. From 21st to 23rd September we will be at the Stitch and Creative Craft Show at Sandown Park and 27th to 28th October we will be at the K2 Christmas Craft Fair in Crawley, Sussex. We will also be back at Shepton Mallett in the spring. In our last newsletter we asked for photos of your pieces to display in our gallery unfortunately we only received two so if anyone else has anything they would like to share please, please email them in as we hope to have the gallery up and running in the next couple of weeks. Our limited edition kit is also up for renewal so if anyone has any ideas of what they would like to see please email us at enquiries@paverpol-uk.co.uk Finally we will be launching a new range of own brand products at the Sandown Show under the AstenBlue label. These will include those additional items that you sometimes find harder to get hold of than you thought, such as a set of our favourite paintbrush and masking tape and bright colours for creating funky fairies etc. We will also be offering kits, gift vouchers and more. These will be posted on the website towards the end of September. Keep enjoying the 'Paverpoling' and we hope to see you at one of our events in the near future. Best Wishes Sue and Debbie Paverpol-UK
